Directing is often a lonely career. Although surrounded by actors, designers, and teams, directing is a responsibility that is often isolating. To address this, The Drama League offers The Gatherings, a series of network-focused meetups exclusively for directors to share their experiences, pool resources and knowledge, and enjoy each others’ company.

The 2024 – 2025 Gatherings will include:

• Directors Night Out – Monday, November 11, 2024
  A social kickoff to the holiday season, filled with good cheer and bar-tastic fun for Directors Project ALumni. The evening will include a mixer, discussion, and delectables!
• Backstage Tour of the Palace Theatre – Monday, March 10, 2024
  Get a behind-the-scenes private tour of the new renovations of the iconic Palace Theatre, including the incredible story of lifting the building two stories in the air! State of the art design meets theatrical history, and offers a glimpse at the future of theatrical architectures. 
• Tony Awards Bingo Watch Party – Sunday, June 15, 2024
  What’s better than watching the Tonys with fellow directors? Awards-related BINGO! Join us for red carpet critiques, fabulous prizes, Tony ballots, snacks and refreshments. 

The Gatherings are open to all Alumni of any Directors Project program.
