2014 Directors Project Fellowships

Applications are now open for the 2014 Directors Project Fellowships.  This year, we are excited to announce a brand new fellowship, the Shakespeare Directing Program, in association with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA.  This joins four established fellowships: Classical Fellowships for Directors of Color, Fall Production Program, Hangar Residency Program and Musical Directing Program. 

Directors Project fellowships are a unique, intensive career development opportunity, providing assistantships, lectures, industry meeting and other networking opportunities and a chance to showcase your talents for the theatre community in New York and regionally.

Alumni of the Drama League Directors Project are working on and off-Broadway; they are directing television, film and documentaries.  Many have gone on to win Tony, Emmy, Obie, GLAAD, Drama Desk awards, just to name a few. They have become Artistic Directors of almost sixty theatre companies globally.  Join the list that includes Pam MacKinnon, Diane Paulus, Alex Timbers, Mark Brokaw, John Rando, Davis McCallum, Lear DeBessonet, Rachel Chavkin, Christopher Ashley, R.J. Cutler and many others.
