One of the many gratifying things about bringing audiences and artists together is the support The Drama League receives from its friends in the theatre, film, and television industries.  For the currently-running Benefit Auction (click to see), many of these friends have offered exclusive opportunities to “peek behind the curtain” of your favorite Broadway productions and television shows, to meet many of the great performers involved in these high-profile projects.

Among the highlights are three backstage visits to current Broadway hits.  Our gala honoree, Angela Lansbury, will welcome two lucky auction winners to A Little Night Music, with deluxe VIP tickets and a backstage meet-and-greet with her after the performance.  Nearby, the cast of the musical Memphis will do the same at their show, and Emmy-winning actress Laura Linney will visit with package winners backstage at her new play, Time Stands Still!

Fans of TV drama The Good Wife (starring Golden Globe winner Juliana Margulies), the witty satire The Colbert Report, and the culinary reality competition Top Chef will be eager to attend the tapings and tours of the shows available.  At the live auction on February 8th at The Pierre, these will be joined by a set visit to ABC’s Ugly Betty, starring America Ferrera, Michael Urie and Vanessa Williams.
